Time flies and the last time I submitted anything here was in excess of two years ago, so I suppose it's time I squared up to the fact and consider officially calling it a day, at least on this account. The reasons for my absence were a series of unfortunate events (predominantly my loss of all cat-related images) but also other pressing commitments that had to take priority (such as my research thesis). Having said that, the dA community served to diffuse my moments of desperation and it has been good to get to know so many people. I've counted well over 100 (and growing) friends and watchers.
In the next few months I hope to commit myself to the 900 odd messages I have waiting in my post, answer them, add a few favourites to my list, and eventually close shop. I'm looking forward to that, especially to catch up the going-ons in my absence. Most of the time I might not have anything appropriate (or sophisticated enough) to say, but I suppose you won't really mind.
My new second enterprise at dA ~7eo is intended to inject some life into the architectural-related facet of my work. With all the cat images here, my work never really developed the way I wanted it to. This time round, I intend to establish another account exclusively for architecture, land and seascapes, and reserve this one for my pets. I won't be returning here that often either, so please post everything to my other account, and if it pleases you, watch me from there.
And just in case you were wondering, Bunny is nowadays the only pe(s)t around the house, though she's bagged herself a handsome admirer lately. Given her volatile character however, I seriously wonder how long the romance will last...
So long,
J.

FAVOURITES
You might reckon I fav a lot, which is true but with good reason. I usually fav anything that strikes my attention (however polished or not it may look) and I always keep in mind the age of the deviants producing the work, so I try to put myself in their shoes when I chose their work. Faving is for me a way of book-marking other galleries and for the same reason, I like to keep mementos from whichever works I happen to be visiting.
ABOUT ME
My main interests in photography are composition and colour, but also (hopefully) clever, intriguing captures and whatever looks unusual but in good taste. I really have no time to stay fiddling around (especially with cats as models) so it's usually just a matter of shoot-and-move-on affair.
COPYRIGHT
I assert my right to be identified as the author of the work submitted in my gallery. No portion of my work may be circulated or used without prior, expressed consent in writing. Should you wish to do so, please send me a note with PERMISSION as subject.
